Colorimeter

Some people who suffer from the effects of visual stress may find that coloured lenses help them to read more easily.

In these cases, we can perform a colorimetry assessment, and during this we will use the colorimeter to determine the correct colour for your tinted lenses, specific to your individual needs.

The first Intuitive colorimeter was designed in 1993 by Professor Arnold Wilkins when he was working at the Medical Research Council Applied Psychology Unit in Cambridge, and was the first calibrated instrument to prescribe precise colour to alleviate symptoms of visual stress.

The colorimeter offers many thousands of colour combinations, and presents sequentially the colours in colour space, thereby allowing the patient to swiftly identify the precision colour that may help alleviate their symptoms.
