Brownbills Optometrists are proud to have a long history of recycling your old spectacles but when Covid hit the world, our recycling partner ceased accepting the collections. However, we are now excited to have joined the network of locations collecting your old spectacles on behalf of the Ashford Lions Club.
All spectacles collected by the Lions Club are sorted and sent to Medico France in Le Havre or Unite For Sight. Medico France have the necessary equipment to clean and grade the spectacles ready for use in eye camps in Africa, India and Eastern Europe.
If you have any spectacles to recycle, please bring them in at your next appointment.
